Geraldine is a small town in the Cantebury region of the South island. It is about 140 kilometers south of Christchurch, and just 35 kilometers north of Timaru. You will pass through Geraldine when travelling from Christchurch to the Southern Alps & Lake Tekapo. Geraldine has a country village feel to it, is surrounded by majestic old forests, some historic buildings left by early settlers, as well as small arts and crafts shops. It is a great spot to stop for lunch, or a coffee as you transit through.
