Oxford Terrace is a street in Christchurch city in the South Island of New Zealand. It snakes it’s way along the banks of the Avon River, which flows through the heart of the CBD. The serene banks of the river provide a striking contrast to the destruction just a short walk from Oxford Terrace that the earthquakes of 2011 left on the city. A walk along the terrace is the perfect way to start the day before enjoying breakfast or at sunset before dinner.
I love all the street art that populates the CBD area that has brought life to otherwise abandoned buildings. I would highly recommend Shop Eight Food & Wine on New Regent Street for a relaxed glass of wine and dinner.
